And there's the ever trusty red herring:

Unless we continue to lavish insurance companies with record profits, we’re all gonna die.

When does Stossel advocate for the status quo?
Do you even know what type of a plan Stossel does advocate for?
How many times have the two of us agreed to start a debate from the standpoint that the status quo is not defensible?
How many plans presented in Congress by conservatives have been "Keep Shit the Same"?

For that matter, define record profits. Are you speaking in absolute terms (as in $x Billion) or in margin percentages? $x Billion may seem like a really big number until you realize that it is sub 10% profit margin. They have to have $10x Billion in revenues to earn $x Billion. That is a lot of health care provided for those record profits.

And thirdly, don't you watch Future Weapons? The Isrealis kick our ass at weapons. Seriously, half our stuff now is just piggybacking on what they created. But seriously, you just invoked a massively inefficient organization with a poor track record of resource allocation to advocate for another massively inefficient organization with a poor track record of resource allocation? Nice.
